“Where the f— are these Epstein files?” asked Joe Rogan last week, the podcaster who helped put Trump back in the White House. Tonight Rogan will be on the South Lawn, calling the fights at Trump’s $60 million UFC birthday party.
Sit with that.
Rogan reached more young men than any ad Trump could buy. The endorsement, the long sit-down, the audience that flipped the map. He delivered them on the promise that Trump would drain the swamp and open the files.
The files never came. Trump’s own Justice Department put out a memo saying there was no client list and nothing more to release. The president who ran on dragging the powerful into the light now calls the whole thing a hoax and a waste of time.
So last week Rogan, the man who vouched for him, sat in his studio and demanded to know where they went. Why redacted. Who’s being protected.
Tonight he gets his answer, in a way.
Instead of the files, Trump is handing his base a cage fight. A $60 million spectacle on the White House lawn, staged on his 80th birthday, dressed up as a tribute to America turning 250.
Here’s the part to keep in your pocket. Trump owns stock in TKO, the company that owns the UFC. So the birthday party on public land flatters the president and pays him.
Crews dropped a 600-ton steel arch over the lawn and called it “The Claw.” The cage beneath it carries ads for Crypto dot. Com, Monster, and Bud Light. Soldiers were offered seats, but only the ones who passed military body-fat standards, so the crowd behind Trump photographs the way he likes.
Rogan thinks it’s a mess. He called it a gimmick, said fights outdoors in June would turn into hot oil wrestling. He’s showing up to narrate it anyway.
A promise of accountability for the most powerful men in America, traded for a sponsored cage match that enriches the man it honors.
The one voice his base actually trusts asked the only question that mattered. Tonight he’ll spend the broadcast describing the distraction instead.
